Registration

Registration for the 2019 Project DM race on June 23rd, 2019 is now OPEN.  Entries for the Full, Relay, and Bike leg will be limited to 50 slots on a first come basis.  Please do not sign up for one of these options if you are not serious about participating.   This is a self supported race and it is mandatory that each participant have a personal kayaker for safety due to the early (before sunrise) swim start. All participants must also have an safety escort for the final 4.5 mile ascent to the finish line.

A few important items to note. Please read.
Entry Fee:

This year the registration fee will be:  Individual Full $200, Relay Full $300, Partial $75 each leg, 4 if you count the hike 🙂.  Payment is made through a 100% tax deductible donation to one the six Project DM Charities (2Gether We Live, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Goodwill of Central and Northern AZ, Coconino County Sheriff Search and Rescue, Arizona Disabled Sports, and Outreach Theraplay) using their own websites (links can be found on the Project DM Charities page or click here).  Registration (and your slot) will not be guaranteed until proof of the donation is received by the race staff at support@projectdm.org.

Swim:

Each participant will be required to have individual kayak/paddle board support.

Failure to have Individual support on on race morning will result in the participant not being allowed to start and therefore being disqualified.

Bike and Run:

Each participant will be required to have individual Bike and Run support for the entire bike and run courses.  They do not have to be the same person.

Support crews found to be driving slow and blocking traffic for their athlete at any time will result in the athlete being disqualified and athlete and crew being banned from all future Project DM affiliated races.  Blocking is an unsafe practice that puts all participants on the course at risk due to frustrated motorists.  This rule applies regardless of traffic conditions.  The future of this event relies on everyone following the rules.

Hike:

Each participant will be required to have at least one individual Hike support crew member and stay with their support person the entire hike.  No sharing of a single support person is allowed.  Athletes reaching the finish line without their support crew member will be disqualified.

Please ensure your hike support crew member(s) can complete this very difficult hike (up and down) at the pace you plan to do so on race day.  Completing this hike prior to race day is strongly recommended for both the participant and their support crew.
